Hi.  We’re Brenda and Steve.  Let us start by saying how grateful we are for you to consider offering such a precious gift to a deserving, loving couple, who ever that lucky couple may be.  We cannot begin to understand the range of emotions you may be feeling, but we offer you our prayers and are available to support you on every level possible if we have the opportunity to meet.

Now a little about us…we have been friends forever and were raised in the same small, coastal city in Southern California, which is still our home.  After finally realizing that we were happiest when we were together, we decided to get married.  We’ve been married now for over three years.   Every year gets better, even though these years have also been spent with the disappointment of infertility treatments.  The bright side of the infertility “roller coaster” is that it has strengthened our relationship with each other and with God.   It is our faith in the Lord that reassures us that we will be blessed with a child someday.

We both love the outdoors and are fortunate to each have been raised by loving families in Southern California.  Steve comes from a large family of five kids.  His parents relocated to the east coast several years ago, to beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  But the distance doesn’t stop the family from reuniting every year at his parents’ home, which is always a great event with the ever-growing group of nieces and nephews.

I am fortunate to have my entire family in Southern California, which has allowed us to share our daily lives together with my extended family and remain close.  My older brother and wife have twin eleven-year-old girls who we love to spoil.  We look forward to the time we can have a child of our own to bring into our loving family circle.

We spend our weekends riding bikes along local beaches; hiking the many trails throughout Orange County; taking early morning strolls with our elderly black lab, Jasmine (see her gray-haired photo below); and cooking at home.  Our favorite weekends are spent entertaining friends and family.  It is the perfect opportunity for Steve to show off his barbeque skills.   Steve is also an avid gardener and provides us fresh produce year round.  His tomatoes can’t be beat.  Steve and I are active in the Catholic Church and I am part of a team which supports adults who are new to Catholicism.

We are also lucky to work close to home.  Steve is a guest services supervisor at local resort and I am a City Planner for a small coastal city.  We’ve been at our positions for several years which provides us a tremendous amount of flexibility with our schedules which will allow us to be full time parents.

Our hopes are to provide a child the same loving, supportive environment that we experienced growing up and to share our appreciation for life.  If you want to find out more about us or meet us, please contact our attorney, Randy Hicks, who can be reached toll free at 1-800-756-6757 or at 951-787-8300.

Good luck to you and God Bless,
