Hello. Let us introduce ourselves. We are Heather and Jeff. We want you to know how much it means to us that you are considering us for the special gift of a child. We know that this has not been an easy choice for you to make, and we want to do everything in our power to offer our support and help if you should choose to meet us. We have been through a lot in our efforts to have a child, and we know we have a lot of love and patience to offer a child.

We have been together for seven years and been married five of those years. Both of us were born and raised in Orange County and own our home there now. We live on a cul-de-sac in a community near the beach and there is a wonderful school just around the corner. It is a great area for raising children and we look forward to  joining with other families in providing good learing experiences with an active lifestyle. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a large, supportive extended family, who live close and are familiar with the gift of adoption.

Jeff is a police officer and a big kid himself. He loves playing with the children of both friends and relatives. Sometimes I think Jeff enjoys the toys and games more than the children do. Before Jeff became a police officer, he spent many years working as a recreational counselor in the community in which he lived as a youth. One of Jeff's biggest loves is baseball. After attending college, Jeff played a few years of professional baseball. When his career in baseball was over, he focused on becoming a police officer like his grandfather. His police work is definitely challenging and hard work. As a police officer, he recognizes the value of working with all areas of the community striving to make the city a better and safer place to live, especially for the children.

I am an elementary school teacher and surrounded daily by a very diverse group of children whom constantly present new challenges while offering their love and thoughtfulness in many different ways. I love doing crafts of all kinds, and especially love doing them with kids, I adore spending time with my friends and their children whether it be at a park, little league games, shopping, or at the beach for a barbeque. Being a parent has always been a dream of ours. I know that having our own child to love and care for will complete this circle in our lives and make our dream come true.

We both love to play and watch sports. We enjoy friendly competition whether it is on an athletic field or just enjoying a game of cards. Jeff and I enjoy taking walks with our dogs on the beach close to our home and around our neighborhood. We both like to travel and see the world around us. We look forward to seeing the same sights through the eyes of our child and teaching them about other cultures. Since Jeff and I both have college degrees, we feel a well-rounded education is important for a child to have. We both love history and like to work in the yard. Gardening gives us a chance to be together and work together creating a special environment for all to enjoy.

We know what a difficult decision this must be for you. We admire you for making the effort to provide the very best home that you can for your child. We would feel honored to be the parents that you choose to give the best love and care possible to your child. We truly believe that a child is a gift from God, and we would feel so blessed to have the chance to be part of such a gift.
